The Foundation uses two types of user information: information gathered from personal information you provide us to perform certain services and information provided from cookies and log files.

Our website does not actively collect or use your information unless you request to be on our mailing list, order a product, submit an inquiry, or make a donation. No matter what method you use to contact us, we will ask for your consent to be added to our postal and/or email mailing lists. Opt-in and opt-out options are always available.

When you opt-in names, emails, and postal addresses are stored in our database, which securely lives on an encrypted iCloud service program.

Financial Information: Payment information from orders or donations are processed through Authroize.net or Paypal.com. Orders are placed on our online store through a third-party application, Shopify. By using Shopify Services, Authorize.net and/or Paypal, users are also agreeing to the privacy policies of those organizations. Links to these policies are prominently placed on the home page of the online store.

Encryption: All data is securely encrypted using SSL/TLS1.2 and transferred to Shopify.com, Authorize.net or PayPal.com directly. We never store your credit card information on our website, so even if this website were hacked, your credit card information would remain safe.

Cookies and IP Address: We do collect information (“log data”) that your browser sends whenever you visit our site. This log data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, and other statistics. In addition, we may use third-party services such as Google Analytics, Shopify that collect, monitor and analyze this standard web log data.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to personal information unless a user directly provides that information to us. Cookies are stored only on your computer, not our servers.

Safeguarding Your Information: Security We will limit the collection and use of your information to the minimum required to deliver our services to you, and for our organization’s administration. We will permit only authorized personnel, who are trained in the proper handling of user information, to have access to that information.

We take all reasonable precautions to protect your information, both while the information is being transmitted and after it is received by us. After we receive the information we use security procedures and policies that are commensurate with industry standards to safeguard against loss, theft, unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, and disclosure.

When you submit sensitive information via our website, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for the letters "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only those employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information.
